Launching of the mark WESTON. 1957 The Group holds stores like WESTON, RANDALL, GRANDJEAN, WILSON... 1961 Death of Mr FENESTRIER. 1966 The business is yielded to Group REVILLON. 1969 The ANDRE Group acquires Group UNIC. 1974 Creation of the SRC (Romanaise Company of the Shoe). 1978 Resumption of the SRC by Mr Robert CLERGERIE. 1981 Launching of the mark ROBERT CLERGERIE. The price “Best Designer of the Year” is decreed with Mr Robert CLERGERIE by the American magazine Footwear News. 1988 Opening of the stores in MADRID and BRUSSELS. 1989 Opening of the first shop in LONDON (Wigmore Street). 1990 The price “Best Designer of the Year” is decreed, for the second time, with Mr Robert CLERGERIE by the American magazine Footwear News. 1992 The ensign ROBERT CLERGERIE is represented by 17 stores in FRANCE , 6 abroad and 3 shops laid off in JAPAN. The price “Best Designer of the Year” is decreed, for the third time, with Mr Robert CLERGERIE by the Trade association of New-York's mode FFANY. 1994 Opening of a shop in Los Angeles. 1995 Centenary of the Company. 1996 Mr Robert CLERGERIE yields the majority of his shares to a financial Grouping. Transfer of shop CLERGERIE of New York on Madison Avenue. 1997 Mr Alan WADE becomes President of the companies of the Group. Mr Robert CLERGERIE remains within the Company as a consultant for strategy and collections. 1999 Opening of the second shop of LONDON (Draycott Avenue) in September. In October, the Group is yielded to the branch investments of a large bank. 2001 Mr Robert CLERGERIE ceases his activity after the development of the collection of summer 2002. 2004 With the autumn 2004, at the instigation of his/her son Xavier, Mr Robert CLERGERIE starts to study the possible resumption of the Company which has some problems. 2005 Among the proposals presented, the proposal of Mr Robert CLERGERIE is adopted and the business is concluded on January 13 2005. Robert CLERGERIE installs a new direction chaired by Mr Jean-Louis GONI. In December, the price “Hall of Fame” is decreed with Mr Robert CLERGERIE by the American magazine Footwear News and the New York Trade association FFANY. 2006 The total staff of the Group is 241 people. The headquarter and the factory are localised in Romans. The production is approximately 180 000 pairs of shoes per year. The distribution network consists of 28 stores and “shops in shop” with the ensign multimarque ROBERT CLERGERIE and more of 650 customers all over the world. |
