In der Serie "Malalam", Wassertheurer taucht uns in das Universum einer Seele ein, zerschmettert von der Hoffnungslosigkeit. Hoffnungslosigkeit angesichts der des Krieges, der Dummheit der Menschen die das Gewehrfeuer noch anheizen und die physisch und mental den Aufschrei der Pein von unschuldigen und gefolterten Menschen erzwingen.
Die riesigen Augen dieser Personen als Beute der Hoffnungslosigkeit spiegeln den Horror des Krieges wieder. Wortlos fallen Ihre resignierenden Münder in die Stille des Nichts, ja die, deren Stimmen man nicht mehr vernimmt aus dem Lärm der Kanonen , ja die, die man vergisst unter all dem Müll...

Dans série "Malalam", Wassertheurer nous plonge en nous mêmes, au coeur de nos confrontations. Wassertheurer nous propose un autre regard vers ces univers intérieurs, entre folie et résignation, entre ombre et lumière, au milieu de nos démons.
Les yeux immenses, sans fond, reflet de l'âme de ses personnages en proie au désespoir, s'ouvrent sur d'autres monde, invisibles et pourtant bien présents. Espace broyé, retourné et démultiplié pour mieux épouser les formes de l'âme torturée. La toile n'existe plus et laisse place à un espace peuplé d'êtres chimériques, de dieux en colère, de sorciers vaudou volant l'âme des personnages.
Accepterons-nous notre côté noir ? Transformerons-nous ces énergies négatives en flots d'énergie positive ? L'espoir peut-il se renforcer de la violence du désespoir ? L'appel de l'au-delà sera-t-il vain ?

With "Malalam" (meaning soul despair) Wassertheurer makes us share the univers of a broken soul and leads us in the heart of our own confrontations.
Wassertheurer proposes another vision towards these interior universes, between madness and resignation, shade and light, in the middle of our demons.
The immense eyes of the painted characters in prey with despair, open on other world, invisible and yet quite present. Space crushed,
turned over and geared down for better marrying the forms of the tortured heart. The fabric does not exist any more and let place to a
space populated with chimerical beings, gods in anger, wizard voodoo stealing the heart of the characters.
